Miss Leon was born and raised in Santa Barbara. Her elementary school years were spent at Our Lady of Guadalupe School. She attended Santa Barbara Junior High and Santa Barbara High School. Miss Leon received her associates’ degree in psychology at Santa Barbara City College. At California State University at Northridge, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (with the focus on education and an emphasis in psychology) and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In the midst of her sixteen years teaching at Notre Dame School, she received a Masters’ Degree in psychology from Antioch University.
After taking a sabbatical year for the 2009-2010, Miss Leon returned to the classroom as a guest teacher (substitute) not only here at Notre Dame School, but also at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Bishop Garcia Diego High School.
Miss Leon came back to Notre Dame School full-time as the Junior High Language Arts Teacher three years ago.
